This weekend has seen me making yet more invitations, all handmade and made by me and only me 🙂 At least I can’t complain of boredom!! Below in the pictures I am sewing on 80+ seahorse charms onto small cream squares of card, to later be stuck on purple squares, which will then be stuck onto the invitations.
The final invitations are pocket shaped and I will soon post pictures of the finished invitations for you to see. It’s a very long process due to the fiddly sewing involved but the end product is always worth it. This project took me around a month at the beginning just in my spare time sewing these on. After this process it will probably take another month to prep the cards and the envelopes, as well as printing the inserts and getting the guest information from the bride and groom.
It’s a very fiddly job, but someone has to do it. Sewing on more than 80 seahorses, which are no bigger than a 10 pence piece!
The seahorses are growing on me the more I sew on…I think they have to otherwise I would go bonkers!
The final wedding invitations look great finished, more photos to follow once I have put them all together. Otherwise keep checking my Twitter where I will post some pictures soon.
